As part of GOMA’s ‘Fairy Tales’ exhibition, a set was designed to showcase lithographs from Maurice Sendak’s beloved classic Where the Wild Things Are, as well as costumes from the 2009 film adaptation. The space used cardboard cut-outs to recreate the far-off land imagined by Max and referenced Sendak’s distinctive illustration style. Images courtesy of QAGOMA.
